With over 30,000 students studying online and on-campus across the country, we have firmly established ourselves as a leader in regional Australia.</p> <p>Our journey began in 1967 as the Queensland Institute of Technology (QIT) Capricornia in Rockhampton. We were granted full university status in 1992 and have since expanded to become a global institution with a presence in multiple states and territories.</p> <h3>Locations and Partnerships</h3> <p>We have a strong presence in regional Australia, with campuses in Adelaide, Brisbane, Bundaberg, Cairns, Emerald, Gladstone, Mackay, Melbourne, Rockhampton, Sydney, and Townsville. We also partner with several Regional Universities Centres (RUCs) to extend our reach into remote and rural areas.</p> <h3>A History of Excellence</h3> <p>In 2014, we merged with CQ TAFE to bring together over 175 years of combined experience in education and training. This partnership has enabled us to deliver a comprehensive range of programs, from short courses and certificates to undergraduate, postgraduate, and research degrees.</p> <h3>Study Areas and Research</h3> <p>We offer a diverse range of study areas, including apprenticeships, trades, and training; business, accounting, and law; creative, performing, and visual arts; education and humanities; engineering and built environment; health; information technology and digital media; psychology; social work and community services; science and environment; and work and study preparation.</p> <p>As a pioneer in distance education, we continue to be a leader in this area, with over half of our current student cohort studying off-campus through online and mixed-mode delivery. Our research institution is renowned in several key disciplines, and we are the benchmark leader for how universities should engage and collaborate with communities and industry.</p> </div>
