<p>The University of East London (UEL) is a public university <u>located</u> in the London Borough of Newham, London, England. It has three campuses in Stratford and Docklands, with the newest addition, University Square Stratford, opening in September 2013.</p> <p>The university's history dates back to 1892, when the West Ham Technical Instruction Act Committee approved the construction of the site, which officially opened as the West Ham Technical Institute in October 1898. Over time, it evolved into the College of East London before gaining university status in 1992.</p> <p>The University of East London is a vibrant community of over 40,000 students from more than 160 countries. Our diverse student body is a reflection of the university's commitment to inclusivity and academic excellence.
